Things are a bit stalled with the wemew album (which seems to be the normal speed for that project) while Sid and I coordinate schedules to finish up the recording. I'm still hoping to have recording done by X-day and maybe having the album fully mixed and mastered by then as well. Probably actual pressing won't happen until January when I get back from sailing.
Speaking of which, I'll probably be out sailing to make money through most of my X-day vacation this year, so I won't likely get to see anybody. Sorry about that. I will be around some at T-day however.
In other music news, the DVD from my live performance supporting Sid's show (A trio of Sid, John and I, playing a composition of Sid's for his art gallery show) has come out. Its a very limited pressing, but you might still be able to find some from Sid (perhaps a normal release not the art edition). Sid is doing quite well with his projects, including a trip to the Brainwaves festival in Boston later this month. Nice work, Sid!
Finally, in my lull from working on wemew stuff I've started working a bit more seriously on my electronic project. I've included a rough version of the first track I've completed in this vein, if you want to check it out. (It needs cleanup and the MP3 conversion did some annoying things, but is at least representative of where I'm going).
Oh, and while I'm at it, my friend Shawn, who some of you know, has started up a record label and production company out in San Francisco based on bringing the minimal "Detroit sound" of techno to the west coast. You can check them (People Muver) out at their website.
